Q:Can I put something hot on this arylic coffee table, like a cup of coffee or warm dish of food, either with or without some sort of heat-resistant mat ?

A:Yes you can, but generally speaking the acrylic is prone to scratching so just be mindful of the bottom of your dishes ,I wouldn’t put anything directly on the table without a coaster.
