Q:Can you use only the top portion without the legs to mount as a wall cabinet?
A:No. I recommend purchasing the actual wall cabinet. The bottom shelf is separate from the top portion and the cabinet itself would look unfinished. If I had a large enough bathroom, I would have purchased the entire set. It's very nice and sturdy. And not too difficult to put together.
Not 100% sure but you need the correct mounting to do so. Research what you need to do. I used the legs on mine. If you need to remove the lid on toilet you have to take apart the cabinet on the bottom part to pull it out. They have over the toilet cabinets at Lowe’s, homedepot that will be probably better for mounting over the toliet."
